June Beauty Favorites

I know I say this every month, but I seriously feel like I just shared my May Favorites with you guys like yesterday! Any who, last month I revisited a couple of oldies but oh so goodies and tried out a couple new purchases. So let’s just get right into it and talk about my most used beauty products from the month of June.

This product is definitely on my list of all time favorites but for some reason it ended up in the back of my palette drawer and I hadn’t reached for it in a while. The BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette is a great go-to palette! I want to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition soon since this one is getting pretty worn in.  It’s great for year round because the colors can easily be used for any season and you can get a lot of different looks with it, but I especially love it for summer because of all the gorgeous highlight shades! Normally, even if I’m self tanned and I can’t really use the two darker highlight shades because they just don’t look good with my skin tone but I have found that they work amazing as body highlighters! Since my body is always more tan that my face (even when I self tan my face), they blend in with my skin color on my body so well. I like to apply highlight to the tops of my shoulders (where the shoulder and arm joints meet) and on my collar bone. I love the bronze summer glow I get with this little trick! When applying highlight to my body, I use the BH Cosmetics 101 blending brush and when applying it to my cheekbones, I use the Morphe M601 fan brush. I generally just use my fingers to highlight my nose.

This past month, I have been loving the Covergirl Flourish Lash Blast Mascara. I normally use waterproof mascaras because I have watery eyes and it’s the only way to keep my mascara from running. But ever since I had my lash extensions, my real lashes haven’t been the same. Since waterproof mascara can be very drying on lashes, I wanted to try something that would not only give my lashes the length and fullness I get from my normal mascara but would also help nourish the damage that the extensions left behind. The formula has coconut, avocado and papaya oils which are super hydrating and conditioning. Even with a few coats of mascara on, my lashes still feel soft and fluffy with this product. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that it’s super long lasting. Even with my watery eyes, I haven’t had an issue with my mascara running. I also really like the applicator. It makes it easy to get every lash coated.

Another one of my favorites from the month of June is the Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in the shade Debbie. It gives that wet glossy look that is perfect for summer. It’s also a plumping formula so it feels a little tingly but doesn’t irritate my lips at all. This gloss comes in a ton of colors in either metallic or shimmer finishes. It’s also pretty pigmented for being a shimmer gloss. I find a lot of the time that glosses don’t have much color payoff but this one is really good! The soft coral pink is perfect for summer and goes with so many makeup looks, whether I’m doing something natural or dramatic.

I have been loving the NYX Baked Blush in the shade BB10 Ladylike for summer. It gives my cheeks a perfect pink flush that looks totally natural. I also love that it has a little shimmer so it gives my skin a nice glow. I like to use this one on its own for everyday more natural looks or even on top of more pigmented blushes to add a hint of shimmer. This blush comes in a pretty good selection of pink and champagne shades that would work for a lot of different skin tones. You can really see just how much use this one has been getting!
