Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the weather when it cools down but isn’t cold and when it’s a little drizzling outside. There’s nothing better on a rainy fall day than sitting around the house in leggings and sweater drinking a pumpkin spice latte with a fall scented candle lit. #basic #sorrynotsorry Another one of my favorite things to do for fall is decorate my house! Here’s a roundup of my porch decor and how I updated some old items to give them a whole new look!
I love to have lots of decor on my front porch! This year I’m all about the buffalo check trend and I think it looks so cute with fall colors! I found these buffalo check pillow covers on Amazon for less than $10 for the pair! We purchased the wooden pumpkin with our initial on it a couple years back from Kirkland’s. I’ve linked a similar one here.
For the front door I used a wreath and garland from last year but added the buffalo check ribbon to change up the look. The garland is still available and it’s another steal at less than $10! The wreath isn’t available anymore but I’ve seen so many cute ones this year at Kirkland’s and Home Goods so you’re sure to find something you’ll love! I layered my fall doormat from last year with. Buffalo check rug that I just purchased from Amazon and I love how it looks! Target and Kirkland’s are my favorite places to go to new doormats. They always have really cute ones for around $12 or less!
This might be my favorite part of my front porch decor! I purchased the small hay bale from Michael’s last year. Luckily, my porch stays nice and dry so I was able to save it and reuse it again this year. I found the cute crate at Ross for less than $7 and I immediately started thinking of decor I could put in it. Initially I planned on putting an assortment of small pumpkins and gourds in it which I still think would be so cute but I happened to come across this already make arrangement at Kirkland’s that was literally the exact size of the crate. It just seemed meant to be so I ended up getting it. I found the adorable easel at Big Lots and just couldn’t pass it up!
I had fun this year being a little creative with the decor I already had and finding ways to make it look new without going out and buying all new decor, which I know is so tempting because I swear every year things just get better and better! It’s a great way to save some money and still get the look you want. Like my garland. I saw one already made in store for $25 but I paid $8 on sale for mine last year and then another $2 on the buffalo check ribbon and now I have practically the same garland for less than half the price!
